Green Party MP Sue Bradford has confirmed the party's status as extremist by joining a picket line of cleaners at Wellington Hospital today, National's Industrial Relations spokesman Lockwood Smith says.
"For some time observers have described New Zealand Green politicians as being like watermelons, green on the outside and red in the middle.
"Sue Bradford's is showing she is more of an extreme left politician than a Green politician. Her actions in Melbourne, and again today, prove that.
"The Government has a major policy development programme going on with respect to workers in these industries.
"If the employers are having difficulty now, wait until the Government has a new policy in place. It is just going to make it far worse.
"If the Government goes ahead with the policy Sue Bradford is supporting employers will have even less influence over the employment relationship," Dr Smith said.
