Info Packs For Business-Government Forum

Information packs for the Christchurch Business - Government Forum will be circulated around the Parliamentary press gallery tomorrow [Thursday] afternoon.
Packs will be available in Christchurch from the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Office, 3rd floor reception, 32 Oxford Tce from 2pm to 5.30pm.
The packs are identical to those which will be supplied to forum participants. Contents include: the list of attendees, workshop topics, the programme of events, evaluation forms and portfolio backgrounders from participating Ministers.
Ministers attending are: Prime Minister Helen Clark; Jim Anderton, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic Development and Industry and Regional Development; Michael Cullen, Minister of Finance and Revenue; Steve Maharey, Minister of Social Services and Employment; Jim Sutton, Minister of Agriculture and Trade Negotiations; Trevor Mallard, Minister of Education and Associate Minister of Finance; Pete Hodgson, Minister of Research, Science and Technology; Margaret Wilson, Minister of Labour; Lianne Dalziel, Minister of Immigration; Mark Burton, Minister of SOEs and Tourism; Paul Swain, Minister of Commerce, Communications and Information Technology; and Matt Robson, Associate Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Business leaders invited are from a range of sectors. Around one hundred participants are expected to attend.
The forum will be chaired by Bruce Irvine, a partner with Deloitte, Touche Tohmatsu.
A press conference will be held at the Christchurch Convention Centre, 95 Kilmore St at 3pm on Friday, 9 February.
The Government will be represented at the press conference by Mr Anderton, Dr Cullen and Mr Hodgson. The Prime Minister will leave the forum early to attend the state funeral for former Governor General, Sir David Beattie.
