Fire Service Commission Members Announced

Minister of Internal Affairs Hon. George Hawkins today announced three new members to the New Zealand Fire Service Commission.
They are:
Angela Foulkes, Dr Piers Reid, and Terry Scott.
Angela Foulkes is currently is an associate with Sue Wood and Associates, and has held prior government appointments as a board member with Skill New Zealand and Workbridge. Ms Foulkes has previous employment with the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions and ANZ Banking Group.
Dr Reid is currently a lecturer of Defence and Strategic Studies at Massey University. Dr Reid has had 38 years in the New Zealand Army. His last position was as Chief of General Staff with a rank of Major General.
Terry Scott is currently a taxi owner/operator. Mr Scott has had 34 years of Fire Service experience, involving Command and Control at a senior level. He was a Dunedin City councillor from 1986 to 1989. He was awarded the Prince Phillip Scholarship (1987) to study occupational Health and Safety in Canada, and was a delegate to the UN International Labour Conference in Geneva in 1992/93.
George Hawkins said: "I welcome the new members to the Fire Service Commission. These three new members bring with them a wealth of experience from diverse and varied backgrounds
"The Fire Service Commission will benefit much from their appointments," George Hawkins said.
