Resignation of Hon Ruth Dyson
Ruth Dyson has done the responsible thing in offering her resignation, Deputy Prime Minister and Alliance leader Jim Anderton said today.
"Ruth Dyson has been a very capable Minister who was well-respected by all of her colleagues for hard work and straight shooting.
"Her contribution to the Labour-Alliance coalition was valuable, and I pay tribute to her on behalf of my Alliance colleagues.
"Her decision to resign from the Executive in the circumstances will help to restore some respect among a public disillusioned that politicians in the past have not always done the right thing when they should have," Jim Anderton said.
