Minister Arrives On Horseback

Racing Minister Annette King will arrive on horseback today (Tuesday, October 24) for the TAB's 50th birthday cocktail party in Parliament's Grand Hall.
The cocktail party begins at 6pm. Mrs King, champion jockey Michael Walker, legendary reinsman and trainer Peter Wolfenden, and TAB chief executive Glen Maguren will arrive on horses or driving sulkies from 6.20pm.
Inside the Grand Hall Mrs King will launch David Grant's new book on the TAB, speak briefly on the TAB's role in New Zealand society, and cut the jubilee cake.
