Buck Stops With Annette King

"When will the Health Minister take responsibility for the impact of her health reforms?" National's Health spokesperson Wyatt Creech questioned today.
"The responsibility for the $265,000 pay-out to former Healthlink South boss Jane Parfitt lies squarely at Annette King's feet.
"She lost her job because of Annette King's Health reforms.
"If the Minister had not embarked on the massive health restructuring doing away with Healthlink South Jane Parfitt would still have her job delivering mental health and disability services.
"If National had stayed in office we would not have merged these entities because Healthlink South was very successful in providing better mental health and disability services."

"At the end of the day a Minister of Health has to take responsibility.
"The thing I have hated about the past is the Minister hiding behind HFAs, RHAs, they've hidden behind CHEs and a whole lot of other names and said it is someone else's responsibility.
"At the end of the day a Minister of Health stands at the top of it and takes responsibility."
