Tizard and Dracula a threat to CER

Published: Wed 19 Jul 2000 05:32 PM
Albany MP Murray McCully has expressed alarm that visits to Melbourne by both Judith Tizard and Dracula tomorrow may undermine good trans-Tasman relations.
His concern was prompted by today's announcement by Judith Tizard that she would attend the Royal New Zealand Ballet presentation of Dracula in Melbourne tomorrow night.
"I can well understand that the Prime Minister is looking for places to hide Ms Tizard after her poor superintendence of the Heart of The Nation project and her inability to get a grip of the purchase of the Auckland rail corridors from Tranzrail.
"But I just hope the Australian sense of humour can cope with us sending them Judith Tizard and Dracula on the same day."
