Second Best Decision Means The Bugs Win

“Eradication of the Varroa Bee Mite should be our first priority,” said Doug Woolerton, New Zealand First’s Agricultural Spokesperson.
Admitting defeat and settling for second best is sending the worst possible message throughout our Primary Industries and export markets.
The ramifications of this decision may well prove to cost billions not millions. Our biggest exporters and income earners deserve better than this.
“I expected greater resolve from MAF and the Government,” said Mr Woolerton.
This is a sad day for agriculture.
