Launch, "Get Checked" Diabetes Aotearoa Programme
Health Minister Annette King will launch Diabetes 2000, the "Get Checked" Diabetes Aotearoa Programme, at Te Papa Marae on Friday, June 30, at 9.15am.
The launch will begin with a powhiri at approximately 7.45am. Three people who suffer from diabetes will address the launch before Mrs King speaks.
Mrs King describes the "Get Checked" programme, based on the management and prevention of diabetes, as one of the most significant programmes the Government will undertake in terms of "Closing The Gaps" initiatives.
