New Zealand First Law and Order Spokesman, Ron Mark has called on the Government to demonstrate its commitment to
reducing crime in tomorrow’s budget by putting more Police on the beat.
“I want to see funding for 300 extra frontline Police in the budget tomorrow,” said Mr Mark. “Anything less than that
will belie this coalition Government’s resolve to clamp down on crime.
“New Zealanders want their streets kept safe so law abiding citizens can walk home late at night without fear. They want
the low life that invade and burgle their homes apprehended, and they want an end to the car thefts.
“If the Government is serious about reducing crime, it is time to show it,” said Ron Mark
