Budget Lock-Up
A Budget lock-up for media and accompanying analysts will be held on Thursday, 15 June from 11.30am.
The venue is the Banquet Hall in the Beehive.
Finance Minister Michael Cullen and Associate Finance Minister Trevor Mallard will attend the lock-up at around 12.30pm. Treasury officials will be available from 12.00pm to answer factual questions.
Media will be permitted to leave at the commencement of Dr Cullen's Budget speech. Analysts are required to remain in the lock-up until Dr Cullen tables the documents in the House at approximately 2.45pm.
Access to the Banquet Hall will be permitted from 10.30am for those needing to set up equipment.
Organisations must RSVP to Katy Greco in the Office of the Minister of Finance on telephone (04) 471 9091, fax (04) 495 8442 or katy.Greco@parliament.govt.nz and advise the names of those attending, and whether they are media or analysts, by 5pm Friday, 9 June.
