Praise for local funding

The Green Party congratulates the Government for its $5 million boost to New Zealand-focussed television programmes and especially children's television.
"This is a great first step in the right direction," Sue Kedgley said, who has been advocating for such a move.
"However, if we were to begin to meet the content quotas outlined by the Screen Producers and Directors Association, the Government would need to double its investment to approximately $10 million per year," she said.
