Murray McCully Opposition Spokesperson on Sport
Today's announcement of $4 million per year in Government funding for high performance sport for four years has been welcomed by National's Spokesperson on Sport Murray McCully.
"The announcement provides a welcome increase in the approximately $3 million in Government funding provided for the period up to the 2000 Olympic Games. The fact that a four year commitment has been made will assist the planning process for the sporting organisations concerned.
"I therefore commend the Minister in today's announcement."
