Customs Long Service Awards
Thirty-two Wellington Customs staff – with a combined total of 745 years' service - will today be presented with awards
at a special ceremony attended by the Minister of Customs, Hon Phillida Bunkle.
The Customs Officers to be presented with special individual awards in Wellington, are among 115 national staff to be
recognised for their long service this week.
The Minister also attended a similar ceremony in Auckland on Monday, where she was the first Customs Minister to do so.
The Minister presented three 45 year service awards to Bruce Smith, Ralph McKenzie and Brian Redfern.
Among the Wellington staff to be recognised today are Paul McEnaney, Peter Dawson and Rod Hall who have each completed
40 years continuous service.
Comptroller of Customs Robin Dare will also attend today's ceremony.
