A petition signed by more than 75,000 people calling for 60cm-wide sow stalls to be phased out in New Zealand will be presented on the steps of Parliament tomorrow at 12.40pm.
Sow stalls, used in factory farming, do not allow pigs to walk or even turn around.
Ms Kedgley will speak at the rally, run by Wellington SPCA, Save Animals From Experiments (SAFE) and Animal Action, supported by the Body Shop, which jointly will present the petition.
News Editors: Animal welfare campaigners will dress as pigs during the rally. Also, an example of the "dry sow crates" containing a model pig will feature.
