Minister of Disarmament and Arms Control, Matt Robson will visit the disarmament capitals, Geneva and Vienna during this period. He will also visit the Hague.
Departing Tuesday 21st March, arriving back on Wednesday 29th March
Wednesday 22nd March – in Geneva
10am (9pm Wed. NZ time) – Meeting with Mike Moore, Director-General of WTO
4.30pm – (3.30am Thurs. NZ time) – Meeting with ILO - prison inmate employment
Thursday 23rd March – in Geneva
10am (9pm Thurs. NZ time) – Key speech to Conference on Disarmament
3.30pm (2.30am Fri. NZ time) – Key speech to Biological Weapons Ad Hoc Group
Friday 24th March – In Vienna
10am (9pm Fri. NZ time) – Visit to CTBT and data centre (link to Chathams station ect)
3pm (2am Sat. NZ time) – Call on International Atomic Energy Agency Director (IAEA), General El Baradei
4pm (3am Sat. NZ time) – Meeting with Head of Secretariat of Wassenaar Arrangement, Lauriola re. small arms convention.
Monday 27th March – at The Hague
10.15am (9.15pm Mon NZ time) – Meeting with Vice President, International Court of Justice re. current war crimes and trials.
2.30pm – 4pm (1.30am – 3am Tues NZ time) – Meetings with Dutch MPs re. small arms control
