RBNZ board appointments
John Goulter, a prominent Auckland businessman, has been appointed a non-executive director of the Reserve Bank.
He replaces Lindsay Fergusson, whose term expired on 31 January. Alison Paterson, whose term also expired on that date, has been reappointed to serve a further five years.
Mr Goulter is Chief Executive Officer of Auckland International Airport Limited and has served as a member of the Airports Council International Pacifica Region. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme, Harvard Businesss School and is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management.
Mrs Paterson is a chartered accountant and is currently Chair of Waitemata Health Ltd and Land Corporation Ltd. She is a consultant for the chartered accountancy firm of Beattie Rickman and sits on the boards of Tower Insurance Ltd and Wrightson Ltd.
Other RBNZ board members are: Paul Baines, Professor Vivian Hall, the Hon Ruth Richardson, Sir Gil Simpson, and Bill Wilson. Directors are paid fees of $15,000 a year.
