Police Minister To Visit North Shore-Waitakere Police
Police Minister Hon. George Hawkins will visit North Shore-Waitakere police on Friday, January 28.
On Friday, George Hawkins will:
 arrive at North Shore-Waitakere police district police station at approximately 9am and from there will visit police stations in the district as arranged by the district manager Supt Olly Beckett
 arrive at Takapuna police station at approximately 1:30pm to meet with Olly Beckett and Northcote MP Anne Hartley on policing issues
 meet with North Shore mayor George Wood at approximately 2:30pm to discuss policing and civil defence matters.
“Over the next few months I intend to travel around the country visiting small police stations, from the Far North to the Chatham Islands,” George Hawkins says.
“On Friday I will visit police stations in west Auckland and North Shore City.
“It is important that as we rebuild policing in New Zealand, that I as Minister visit police stations and meet with local communities around the country. While there I will be listening and discussing each region’s grass roots policing and respective needs,” George Hawkins says.
