1. DRUGS - A controversial end to the year in Parliament. An Alliance staff member and a journalist have been accused of smoking pot in the debating chamber. Gerry Brownlee says he left the Gallery Christmas party to find two people smoking. One is on leave and the other denies the charges. Complaints may be made to the Speaker. TVNZ political editor says the event tops off a hectic year. The Labour Alliance Government has been off to a quick start, can they keep up the pace?. Linda Clark's last crossover as TVNZ'S political editor.
2. DRUGS - There have been six drug arrests in a backbacker tour service following an undercover operation.
3. DRUGS - Some are worried about teenagers overdosing on Fantasy ( a drug) over the festive season.
4. THEFT - Police are investigating a scam involving the theft of heavy machinery, one arrest has been made investigations are continuing.
5. VANDAL - A man charged with vandalising power lines has been arrested and detained after he broke bail.
6. DOG BITES BOY - A boy has been bitten by a dog in Auckland.
7. CHRISTMAS - An isolated lodge is the centre of a very isolated Christmas party.
