GISBORNE CANCER INQUIRY: A Gisborne Dr says the only way to find out whether women are okay after positive smear results are returned is to have a full colposcopy.
US/CHINA WTO AGREEMENT: WTO Director General Mike Moore says that China/US WTO agreement is a major world economic development. The agreement took 13 years to negotiate.
PETROL PRICES: Shell is blaming international price increases for its decision to raise the price of petrol by three cents. Latest reason is the change of season in the Northern Hemisphere. Caltex says it will wait till tomorrow to make a decision.
CHOGM: The outgoing Commonwealth Secretary General has warmly welcomed Don McKinnon into his new job.
SUZANNE BRUCE: The high-ranking NZ First candidate Suzanne Bruce will be expected by the party to resign her seat if she wins at the election. She says she will be guided by her party’s wishes.
TERMITE POISONING: The Ministry of Ag and Forestry will lay bait to rid Otarahonga of termites. It will take two or three years to know if the poisoning works.
