Incis – Christchurch Health – Booking System – East Timor – Chechnya – Stagecoach Strike
INCIS: Police Association believes ambitious police managers were responsible for the INCIS project coming unstuck.
CHRISTCHURCH HEALTH: 300 nurses and health workers in Christchurch will strike today.
BOOKING SYSTEM: The South Auckland Health chief says the booking system still needs more work but that it has improved the situation from the previous waiting list system.
EAST TIMOR: Indonesian President says he has sent a letter to the UN Secretary General handing over control of East Timor to the UN. He says there is no need for a ceremony.
CHECHNYA: There are conflicting reports on escalating fighting in Chechnya. Russians report they are advancing. Chechens say they are under bombardment but are not under frontal attack.
STAGECOACH STRIKE: Auckland Stagecoach bus company and 300 drivers have avoided legal action after agreeing to go to mediation.
