TIMOR: Kiwi troops are guarding a building in Timor which mysteriously went up in flames today. The UN fear the building was torched by militia to conceal evidence of atrocities.
TROOPS: More Kiwi troops left for East Timor today.
CRASH: Grieving relatives laid flowers at the site of Britain's worst ever train disaster today. The death toll is expected to be well over 130.
RAIN: Rain played havoc with Auckland traffic today with over 25 accidents in the area.
DAM SLIP: The river dam in South Westland has survived a night of rain. The rain has stopped and residents have moved back into the area.
VOUCHERS: Holders of Musicman gift vouchers may be out of pocket by $1 million after the company responsible for them went bust this week. They are now effectively useless.
