1. EAST TIMOR - New Zealand troops touch down in Dili as the Prime Minister announces a full Battalion is to join the multi national peacekeeping force in East Timor.
2. CRIME - A Colmar/Brunton poll indicates most New Zealanders believe crime to be on the increase despite police figures indicating the contrary.
3. CEMETERY - There is outrage in Wanganui at plans to remove a grave from the Early Settlers' Cemetery to make way for a playground.
