1) Anti- Australian protests hit Indonesian cities 28/09/99 (AFP) JAKARTA - Australian flags were burned Monday in at least two Indonesian cities, while anti-Australian rallies took place in two other cities amid whipped-up resentment against Canberra’s role in East Timor, witnesses and reports said.
2) Fresh terror for displaced East Timorese in West Timor 28/09/99 (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) "We’ve heard reports of people being pulled out camps in Atambua in Beru district. Again we’ve heard reports of people being shot and chopped up into pieces. We’ve had reports of people just being killed or disappeared."
3) Cowardly Indonesian soldiers shoot seven clergy dead. 28/09/99 (AFP) LISBON - Seven members of the clergy were killed Sunday in East Timor by Indonesian soliders who attacked their car, the Portuguese news agency Lusa reported Monday.

7) UN rights commission votes to investigate Indonesian atrocities 28/09/99 (AFP) GENEVA - The UN human rights commission on Monday voted to set up an international enquiry into human rights abuses and atrocities committed in East Timor this month.
