DRINKING AGE LOWERED: The Justice Minister says the government is forming an education campaign on the new drinking age for introduction with the new law. Last night parliament approved lowering the drinking age by an increased margin than it was passed by earlier.
PETROL PRICES: The AA is calling on the Ministry of Commerce to review petrol company pricing policies. George Fairburn is questioning whether petrol companies are working together.
SERBIAN ARRESTED: Austrian police have seized the chief of staff of the Serbian army in Austria. He has been placed on a flight to the Netherlands and the International War Crimes tribunal.
TURKISH REBELS: Kurdish guerillas have began a withdraw from Turkey. The PKK says that stopping the war is the greatest gift they can give to the Turkish quake in the wake of the huge earthquake.
TURKISH QUAKE: An international aid race is gaining strength to bring aid to 200,000 homeless people in Turkey.
MARKETING EDUCATION: Marketing schools on specialisations rather than academic performance is considered an alternative for less well performing schools. One school tells how it specialised in IT and sport.
