SAMOAN SHOOTING: An MP charged with the murder of public works minister has also been charged today with plotting to kill the Prime Minister.
KIRI: The Prime Minister announced this afternoon that Kiri Te Kanawa would sing in the dawn in a free concert on a Gisborne beach, with the NZSO.
WATSON: Blonde hairs have been tested from murder accused Scott Watson’s boat. DNA from one blonde hair has been tested and is expected to be revealed next week.
PETROL: Petrol prices have gone up across the board by three cents per litre. This is hitting the transport industry hard.
TRIPLE HOMICIDE: Police joined the family of the three victims of an Auckland homicide in mourning today. Police are still unable to interview the man involved who is still in hospital.
NOT GUILTY: A 28 year old woman has been found not guilty of raping a 10 year old boy. The jury took one hour.
LABOUR: Labou are proposing fingerprinting youth offenders, building secure facilities for them and introducing crime prevention measures if in government.
REPUBLIC: Australians will vote on November 6 on whether they want to ditch the Queen and elect a new Head Of State.
SNOWBOARDERS: Four snowboarders are still missing in the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales. They have been missing for five days and a big search is under way.
PIT BULL: A Sydney woman was severely mauled by a pitbull terrier and another dog today. Police chased the dogs for two hours before tranquilising them. The woman is in intensive care.
