INDIAN CRASH: The UN secretary general Koffi Annan has announced his shock at the train crash in India which has killed at least 275 people. Hundreds of people are missing and hundreds more injured after 14 cars mashed together. Possible causes range from signal failure to sabotage.
AFGHANISTAN: Forces loyal to the opposition have been driven out of Bagran Air base and two provincial capitals.
BUS ROW: Auckland’s main bus company is trying to get a court order to prevent 600 workers striking tomorrow over new collective contracts.
ENZA CLEAR: Commerce Commission has announced there is no evidence to suggest that ENZA behaved in anti-competitve manner, after investigating complaints.
