BERT POTTER: Convicted pedophile Bert Potter has returned to centrepoint community in Auckland. He now has new revised bail conditions. Potter insists that he no-longer poses a threat and that people are obsessed with the past.
VICTIM LEGISLATION: Government is announcing legislation to allow victims to talk to court before sentencing. Victims groups are pleased.
US INFLATION FEAR: US Inflation fears are growing with Commerce figures on house sale released. Treasuries, stocks and the dollar all slipped on the fears.
CORONER AND MAORI: New coroner's guidelines for dealing with Maori cultural sensitivities have been released.
TOURISM BOARD AWARD WINNER: Supreme title in Tourism Board awards has gone to the Montana Wearable Art awards held annually in Nelson. Winner says award came out of the blue.
DAIRY PRODUCT RECALL: Mainland Dairy products is investigating its refrigeration after the recall of all its dairy food. Company has had one complaint and then widened recall when received more.
