STUDENT LOANS: NZ First leader Winston Peters has promised to cut the interest rate on student loans if elected. The rate would by 2% above inflation - at present this would mean around 4% compared to the actual rate of 7%.
SAMOAN ASSASSINATION: Samoan Police have launched an investigation into the assassination of the Minister of Public Works.
JFK JUNIOR: More debris has been found from JFK Junior's missing plane. The plane went missing 24 hours ago off the coast of the US.
RALLY OF NZ: Tommy Makinen has unofficially won the Rally of New Zealand. Possum Borne finished in fifth place.
