2. KOSOVO: No progress yet in negotiations with Russians over their interaction with NATO.
3. NZQA: Former Chairman Sir Neil Walters has denied that any other senior managers in the NZQA received golden hand-shakes. A list of people and payments made has been sent to the minister.
4. COOKS ELECTION: The ruling Cook Islands party has lost its majority in Parliament. Four seats separated by margins of less than six votes.
5. LAMB TARIFFS: Bill Clinton has ordered his advisors to reconsider the issue of lamb tariffs.
6. DRUGS: Multiple sclerosis society applauds decision to pay for new expensive treatment for sufferers.
7. WATER CHARGES: Metrowater protest campaign expected to be stepped up in advance of a proposed rise in water charges of $100 a year to $700 a year.
8. CULTURAL QUOTAS: Apra welcomes comments from Maree Hasler that a quota may be necessary to protect New Zealand culture.

10. CRICKET: Australia has beaten South Africa in a nail-biting semi-final clash. Though the game ended on a draw - Australia - because it was ahead going into the final round wins.
