1/ NZQA: New Zealand Qualifications Authority accusations result in investigations. Allegations about severance payment to NZQA chairman in spite of having resigned earlier. Opposition spokesman Trevor Mallard in Parliament. The PM says a major overhaul for crown entities is a month away. Clearly there is widespread concern. Mention of Blackmur's 15 overseas trips in last few years many to his native Australia. Bill for dinner also being investigated. Bradford accepted the resignation of Chairman two weeks before he was due to step down anyway but says the buck stops with him. Surgeons who now employ Blackmur say they are just finding out about the matter in the media.
2/ KOSOVO: Refugees have begun to stream back into Kosovo. Reports of widespread looting by both sides. Growing evidence of atrocities. Remains of 20 found near Prizren. Village full of terrible sights and smells. Hardened soldiers are shocked. In one room alone 20 were killed. Bodies burnt. Stench. A few villagers came back today. They cannot take in what they are seeing. "To kill a woman with a baby inside her that is difficult" says villager. The world is only beginning to see the terrible truth.
3/ SCOTT WATSON TRIAL: Jury in Scott Watson murder trial has heard about Scott Watson's night in Furneaux. On 27th. Watson had been drinking. Video shown to jury . Talked about the babes - nice babes - literally fell into their tent. He was after a light for a cigarette. Stumbled around and fell on tent. Had tattoo on his hand. Couple of fingers missing on one hand. Witness 2: Killed fish with a machete - he wanted to change the name of his yacht. He had mentioned name of a faggot movie and he changed name to mad-dog. Another expression used a lot - "kill the dogs" a phrase he did not explain. One woman said she found Watson's behaviour annoying because he wanted her to cook her breakfast.
