1. KOSOVO: NATO troops advancing through Kosovo have struck resistance.
People have been killed in at least three instances. Russian soldiers at
Pristina airport refuse to budge. Nato says it has discovered more
evidence of Serb terror in rubble of military post.
2. KOSOVO: Paratroopers patrol Pristina. A tense and dangerous time. British
troops shoot an off-duty policeman after he shoots at them with an
automatic pistol. Two other policemen detained at gunpoint. Troops will
have no hesitation to use guns again. City bristling with guns. Many
Serbs have not yet withdrawn. British forces greeted as saviours in many
parts. Flowers and tears for elite fighters.
3. KOSOVO: Russian troops still guarding Pristina airport. Strategic
airfield remains firmly in the hands of the Russians. British armoured
vehicles and French convoy refused entry to airport by Russians. NATO
withdraws from airport in the evening. Canadian surveillance squad left to
monitor the airport.
4. KOSOVO: US Envoy Strobe Talbot assured by Russians there will be no more
surprises.
5. KOSOVO: Car peppered with bullets by German soldiers just hours after
operation began. Serbians in car shot at soldiers. In Prizren retreating
troops attacked by Kosovars. Panic as soldiers open fire, then Nato
officers push Serbian forces out of town.
6. KOSOVO: Rows of graves found in village. Woman remembers dead
relative. Investigators expected soon.

7. SCOTT WATSON TRIAL: Most expensive trial in NZ history. Extra room made
for media. Footage from the trial. Watson took water taxi back to yacht
and offered Olivia Hope and Ben Smart a berth. Crown says forensic
evidence suggests Watson had murdered the couple. "He went to great links
to avoid leaving any connection to the couple". Two blond hairs and
fingernail scratches play prominent role.
Almost 500 witnesses to be called. Many were boat-owners at Furneaux
lodge. Crown case is that by a process of elimination the couple must have
got on Scott Watson's boat. Defence may not open till some time in August.
