Family Murders – Air Force Redundancies – Ferret Ban – Smoking Laws
- FAMILY MURDERS: Fathers killed a quarter of all child homicide victims since 1990; mothers killed nearly a fifth of the children.
- AIR FORCE REDUNDANCIES: The Government faces a redundancy bill of up to $10 million as a result of last week’s radical overhaul of the air force.
- FERRET BAN: A call for a ban on keeping ferrets as pets has been made to Conservation Minister Sandra Lee after concern form conservationists, farmers and regional councils.
- SMOKING LAWS: Proposals to ban smoking in at least half of every bar and eating-place are to be tabled in Parliament next week.
