CHILD CANCER The Ministry of Health and Transpower are to investigate a potential link between high voltage overhead power lines and child cancer.
DOG ATTACK A six year old girl was attacked by a golden retriever on her way to school. The girl suffered facial lacerations and was admitted to hospital for surgery.
BOAT Harold Newland, 80, is to sell his unfinished 57ft boat.
SHEARING Fumigation was not required late last year when David Fagan brought his dirty shearing gear back into New Zealand and though quarantine. The rules have only been tightened yesterday despite the foot and mouth outbreak.
FINN Neil Finn is to play in Auckland next month.
