Not Guilty – Police Budget – Unexplained Death – Practices Could Close
- NOT GUILTY: William Jan Haanstra was found not guilty last night of the execution-style killing of drug dealer Terri King in the Tararua Ranges north of Wellington.
- POLICE BUDGET: Police officers could be given cheaper, slower cars to drive and the future of police visits to schools could be reviewed under proposed spending cuts, Police Minister George Hawkins said last night.
- UNEXPLAINED DEATH: Wairarapa’s National Party chairman, Peter Hammond, said yesterday that he and his family had been put through hell in the two months following the unexplained death of his wife, Maureen.
