was huge.
UK PETROL CRISIS: The British PM Tony Blair is condemning petrol protests in the UK. He says the protests are bringing
real danger to real people.
GERMAN PETROL CRISIS: In Germany the Federal Government is steeling itself for a showdown with the transport industry.
Steve Harris in Germany says that the government is planning not only not to cut taxes on petrol, but to increase them.
Truck Drivers meanwhile are planning protests in Berlin for S26.
CREEPING APARTHEID: The PM has rejected allegations from Winston Peters that the closing the gaps policy is creeping
apartheid. The PM says she takes a practical view on doing something about disadvantage.
US VS JAPANESE WHALING: The US has banned Japanese ships from fishing in US waters in protests at Japanese whaling
plans.
CASINO INVESTIGATION: The Casino Control Authority has asked inspectors at the Casino to report to them on allegations
made by Winston Peters in Parliament yesterday.
SCHOOL FEES: Schools are to be reminded that they cannot enforce school donations commonly referred to as fees.
CANNABIS INQUIRY: An inquiry into Cannabis reform will be conducted by the Health Select COmmittee. The National Party
says it will take part and submissions have till next February to be filed.
