GIRL INTO HIDING: The girl at the centre of the sexual allegations against the Maori Affairs Minister Dover Samuels has
left her home in Northland and is moving to a Wellington motel. A cousin of the girl says the move is to escape a
community backlash from Minister Samuels supporters and relatives.
MAORI SUPPORT: Meanwhile most Maori MPs have expressed their support for Mr. Samuels. A maori affairs select committee
has met to discuss these allegation and a name calling incident involving John Tamihere and Waipareira Trust
allegations.
FIJI CRISIS: The meeting between George Speight and the Fijian military is continuing today amid speculation that an
accord will be signed to release the 31 political hostages.
