FIJI COUP: The Interim Military Government of Fiji has appointed a son-in-law of Ratu Mara – the husband of one the hostages – as an interim PM. The army says it has now met every demand made by the gunmen however the hostages have still not been released.
FIJI COUP: The situation in Suva is beginning to turn to normal following the takeover by the army. However there are mixed views on military rule.
FIJI COUP: NZ unions consider boycott action over the coup.
IRD: The Opposition says the government should be doing more to improve the culture of fear and punishment in the IRD.
TEAM NZ: Team NZ says it has plenty of talent left after the departure of designer Laurie Davidson.
BUSINESS CONFIDENCE: The latest National Bank survey shows a net 21% of business people believe conditions will deteriorate.
NORTHERN IRELAND: Northern Ireland’s devolved government is officially back in business. The largest of the Unionist parties decided to share power over the weekend.
GE RESEARCH: A nationwide check on GE research by ERMA has found 113 unauthorised GE experiments.
