Love Bug Virus - Watara Shooting - Police Procedure - Waitara Racism - Mystery Illness
LOVE BUG VIRUS: The Love Bug is the name of New World virus sweeping the globe. It travels as fast as the Internet and spreads through emails. The love bug came to New Zealand early this morning. Tracing who created the Love Bug may not be easy but initial reports point to the Philippines.
WATARA SHOOTING: There is also concern about the role of the Police Complaints Authority into the Waitara Shooting. One News understands there is only one police investigation underway in Waitara rather than two.
POLICE PROCEDURE: The Prime Minister says she may call for a public inquiry into the Waitara shooting to deal with issues such as when and how police should use their guns in armed offender situations. She said she was concerned with police procedures
WAITARA RACISM: Meanwhile Alliance MP Willie Jackson spoke out during his visit to Waitara and has now received hate mail which called the late Mr Wallace a “dangerous nigger.” Jackson says the mail is evidence racism against Maori in the town.
MYSTERY ILLNESS: One of New Zealand’s top endurance athletes Steve Gurney is fighting a mystery illness.
