RAPE LIE: The Dominion leads today with a report that three men in prison for the 1996 “pack” rape and sodomy of a woman
have had their petitions for a pardon rejected despite a written admission by the woman that she lied.
STOLEN GUNS: The front page photo shows a ESR scientist conducting forensic examination in a room containing a firearms
collection. An accompanying story reports that police information technology experts will begin combing the Wanganui
computer today after accusations that criminal gangs using police information are behind recent firearms robberies.
