CANCER INQUIRY: The Gisborne Cancer Inquiry heard today that 10 years ago officials were concerned that Dr Michael
Bottrill was "laid back to the point of almost falling over". Ministry of Health official has spent three days in the
dock answering questions.

Gay Marriages - 48% no 46% say yes. Younger are more liberal. 64% of 18-29 year olds in favour.
Cannabis Decriminalisation - 53% against 41% in favour. In 18-29 year old age group 52% want decriminalisation. More
polls over the next few days.
HEPATITIS C: The government is making an offer to people who contracted Hep C through transfusions. However the people
being made the offer don't yet know what the offer is. The offer will be made to all those who contracted Hep C within
the parameters of the offer. A previous offer of $20,000 per sufferers was rejected. Annette King says she thinks the
offer that is being made is a fair one.
