FLETCHER PAPER SALE: The chairman of Fletcher Challenge says the Norweigian company that plans to buy its paper division
will look after its staff. Rod Deane says the new owners have guaranteed to maintain current working conditions for at
least two years. Deane says the deal is also good for shareholders.
MICROSOFT: Microsoft shares have lost 15% of their value as markets prepare for a judge’s decision on Microsoft.
Microsoft had been trying to negotiate an out of court settlement. Judge Thomas Jackson is expected to rule against the
country.
