HELICOPTER CRASH: Four people are missing after a squirrel helicopter has gone down in the Wellingotn region. Rescue teams are scrambling to reach the helicopter
CRICKET FAN BRUISED: A cricket fan has been charged with assault by police, while he claims police used unnecessary force to subdue him. Police say they cannot comment about the incident as it is before the courts.
CRACCUM OUTRAGE: The editors of the Auckland University Student Magazine Craccum are under siege after outrage caused by an article on “Suicide and How to Do It”. The New Zealand Press Council are among a number of authorities which are concerned about the articles.
FISHING ACCIDENT: One man has drowned and another is injured after a fishing accident.
MOZAMBIQUE FLOODS: Satellite images from space have revealed the extent of flooding in Southern Mozambique. Since then the floods have begun to recede.after littering the country with corpses and hungry victims of the disasters. Six NZ aid agencies are running appeals for the disaster.
TEAM NZ ON PARADE: Team New Zealand and Prada crews are flying south on air-force Hercules aircraft. The rough conditions of the army planes will not make the flight a particularly comfortable experience.
