HELICOPTER CRASH: A search and rescue operation is underway in the Waikato tonight after a helicopter went missing in
the hills near Raglan. Searchers have spotted wreckage of the helicopter it is not known if there are any survivors.
POLICE BRUTALITY: An Auckland Cricket Fan is alleging police launched an unprovoked attack on him at the One Day
International in Auckland on Friday. Photograph shown of a policeman apparently punching the man. Several witnesses to
the incident have made statements. The man was charged with resisting arrest and possession of cannabis. He is
complaining and seeking compensation from the police.
KILLER BAR: A man is dead and another is missing after a boat rolled on the notorious Greymouth Bar. The boat rolling
was witnessed by a young couple. One body is still missing.
SUICIDE STUNT: Auckland's University University Newspaper Craccum has started a storm of controversy with an article on
suicide. The editors say it was a publicity stunt to draw attention to the issue. The story lists methods of committing
suicide. Students don't seem that upset by it. Dr Peter Watson says Craccum was gravely misguided in suggesting suicide
is a valid option. "We don't accept that". Deputy PM Jim Anderton says it is irresponsible and extremely hurtful. A
media lecturer supports the paper's right to free speech. A lobby group at the University is already calling for the

INTERNET SAFETY: School Children are getting advice on how to avoid cyber-stalkers on the net. Auckland Rape Crisis says
the internet is being used to gain access to kids by pedophiles. Strategy calls for an internet safety officer to be
appointed at each school. Police are also warning pedophiles on the net to watch out. Students are also told never to
identify themselves on the net.
PETROL PRICE RISE: BP is raising the price of its petrol by another three cents.
WELLINGTON FOG: Slow experience for Wellington passengers trying to get out of Wellington with fog problems.
SYDNEY SEAT TROUBLE: Around 100 builders have walked off the job at the Olympic Stadium saying new seating at the
swimming stadium is unsafe and needs to be redesigned.
ALL BLACK MANAGER: New All Black Manager has had to resign from the NZ Army and his job in East Timor to take up his new
job. Colonel Andrew Martin is presently in charge of 9500 UN Troops in East Timor. He says there are similarities
between the army and the All Blacks. There were more and 100 candidates for the job. The All Blacks now have an all new
team at the top in place with two new coaches as well.
