NEXT AMERICA’S CUP UNDERWAY: On Team New Zealand the guard has changed already in the bid to defend the America's Cup a
second time. Russell Coutts is likely to head the syndicate this time around, and leave Race 5 winner Dean Barker at the
Helm. Sir Peter Blake leaves to head the Cousteu Sociey. Plans for the next America’s cup are underway and races are
likely to start in under three years time. Italy, Japan, Australia, The United States are all likely to post contenders.
An American spokesperson for the New York Yacht Club said the United States were likely to only field one challenger in
the next race consolidating the range of experience on their side.
AUCKLAND PARADE: Meanwhile, Auckland city prepares for the parade down Queen Street celebrating the victors, which
starts on Saturday. Parades in Wellington Christchurch, Dunedin are also possible.
VILLAGE PARTIES: Last night crowds flocked to the America’s Cup Village, with more than 50 people ending up in police
cells after partying too hard. Fireworks lit up the sky and a good time was had by all.

linkup.
MARTY THE MONKEY: A north Island school also entertained a VIP, a soft toy, Marty the Monkey of Martin, who went on a
tour of duty with New Zealand troops in East Timor.
