AMERICAS CUP: The Dominion leads today with a report that three thousand pleasure boats and a nation watched yesterday
as Team New Zealand’s Black Magic dominated the first race of the 30th Americas Cup yachting regatta on the Hauraki
Gulf. To a national sigh of relief Black Magic strolled away to beat Luna Rossa of Italy by 1 minute and 17 seconds. The
front-page photo shows Team New Zealand’s NZL60 returning to the viaduct basin after its victory.
