TVNZ: The Dominion leads today with a report that Television New Zealand’s board members, including chairwoman Rosanne
Meo, knew of the terms of news reader John Hawkesby’s $750,000-a-year package before it was negotiated, the Government
learned yesterday. In a related sidebar NZ First leader Winston Peters offered yesterday to drive broadcaster Paul
Holmes to the airport if he wants to quit New Zealand.
TVNZ: A front-page photo panel shows the Prime Minister – “Enticement is the real scandal” – Michael Cullen – “The board
was fully aware – Marion Hobbs – “Some of my perceptions have changed”, as well as pictures of the TVNZ board members.
