Indonesia's former military commander, should still go on trial after being asked to resign over his role in last year's
violence in East Timor, a top East Timorese official said Tuesday.

13) UNTAET: Briefing 31 Jan 2000 02/02/00 (UNTAET) Today the first payments of UNTAET's stipend for people working in
the public sector were paid in Dili. Two thirds of some 100 people working in judiciary, border control service, airport
and port services, market, sanitation and other sectors received their payment.
