the buoy, sold to the challenging team, by NZ environmental research institute NIWA.
SEAMAN RESCUE: There has been a dramatic sea rescue of a seriously injured seaman from a commercial ship near the Bay of

injured himself, though he is believed to have fallen.
INCIS INQUIRY: The Justice Minister has said he will replace a Commission of Inquiry into the Police computer system
INCIS with a Ministerial Inquiry. Phil Goff says he made the change so as not to spend tax-payer’s money on expensive
lawyers, and put “good money after bad”.
‘SCREWDRIVER’ GANG: The lawyer representing Auckland’s notorious “screwdriver” bank robbery gang says he believes the
trio are now willing to give themselves up. The gang are believed to have robbed over five banks in the Auckland region
and are still on the loose. Police have asked the lawyer to negotiate with the fugitives who are said to fear for their
safety.

at Los Angeles before the crash. The second major crash in two days, TV1 news reports rescuers in central Africa have
abandoned the search for survivors in the Kenyan airlines crash
ROAD TOLL: This month’s road toll is the equal lowest since results began being collected in 1965. Police say the lower

her boyfriend world champion Andre Agassi will not be coming with her, as he has Davis Cup commitments in Zimbabwe.
