HOUSIE MURDER: In a Dunedin court a elderly woman plead guilty to attempted murder another middle aged woman after a Housie game. The woman died after an argument about housie. The accused confessed to waiting in the victims closet and then hitting and strangling her. The victim had earlier been declared dead by natural causes - a fall - by the Dunedin coroner.
AARON COHEN: Aaron Cohen pleads not guilty to drug and firearm charges. He has been charged with presenting an air-pistol at officers and charged with possession of cannabis and cannabis implements.
EAST TIMOR SEXUAL HARRASSMENT: Soldiers on the run in East Timor from charges of sexual harrassment of six East Timorese sisters and their family. General Cosgrove says it was a verbal incident and was very unfortunate. Interfet is calling on the soldiers involved to turn themselves in. So far they have not been found.
PEACEKEEPER MURDER: US Soldier charged with rape/murder of a female Kosovo child. The soldier has been transported to Germany where he will be tried.
AUSSIE RELATIONS: Top level meeting in Adelaide for new Foreign Affairs Minister Phil Goff. F16s high on the agenda. Goff says seeing what is needed in East Timor puts the F16s in their place. Defence spending is being reviewed under labour. Australia's Alexander Downer is happy about the review - and has no problem with whether NZ goes ahead or not with the F16
WAR CRIMINAL SHOT: Suggestions that accused war criminal Arkan was killed to keep him silent. Arkan's casino was destroyed during the Kosovo war. Defence analysts suggest the killing was sanctioned at the highest political levels in Belgrade. Video shows Arkan's lover shooting her lovers mistress.
GREEN PHARMASY: Protestors rally in support of natural therapist who wanted to call her business a Pharmasy (spelt with an S)- the Pharmacists guild had taken her to court. The woman pharmasist is delighted. The pharmasist said no one would be confused that her pharmasy was a pharmacy.
